Before you start

You'll need an invite code from your dietitian.

MealCircle isn't a standalone tracker — the plan you follow is one a real practitioner built for you, so the app connects you to them first. Your code is in the invite email they sent. No code yet? Ask them to resend it; it takes seconds from their dashboard.

Not working with a MealCircle dietitian? See what MealCircle does and send them the link.

Setup guide

Five steps, and you're in.

Here's exactly what you'll see on each screen.

  1. 1

    Install MealCircle

Open Google Play on your phone and install MealCircle — it is free, and it stays free for you. Your nutrition practice pays for the platform.

Listed as co.mealcircle.patients. If your invite email has a link, tapping it on an Android phone takes you straight to the listing.

  2. 2

    Create your account

Tap Get started and sign up with your name, email address, and a password. Already have an account? Choose Sign in instead.

Use the same email address your invite was sent to. It is how we match you to the right care team.

  3. 3

    Confirm your email

We send a confirmation email the moment you sign up. Tap the link inside it, then return to the app.

Nothing arrived? Check your spam folder, then use Resend in the app.

  4. 4

    Enter your invite code

Your dietitian's invite email contains an invite code, 8 characters long. Type it into the Connect with your care team screen and the app shows you the practice it belongs to before you confirm.

No code? Ask your dietitian to resend the invite — it takes them a few seconds from their dashboard. Codes are letters and numbers only, and case does not matter.

  5. 5

    Answer four quick questions

Your goal, how many meals you eat a day, how much you cook, any diets or allergies, and how much support you want. Four screens, about a minute.

Your dietitian sees these answers, so they plan around your real routine from day one. You can change all of them later in Profile.

That's it. The app opens on Today with your plan loaded. Anything you log from here appears in your dietitian's view of your care record.
Inside the app

What you'll use every day.

Today

What to eat and log right now, what you missed, and whether you can still catch up.

Your plan

The full plan your dietitian built — meals, portions, habits, and targets, day by day.

Logging in seconds

Log meals against your plan, plus water, weight, mood, and habits — no calorie-hunting required.

Check-ins

Quick mood and energy check-ins that tell your care team how the week actually felt.

Progress

Adherence, streaks, and measurements over time — the same view your dietitian sees.

Messages

Ask your dietitian a question between sessions. Replies stay attached to your care record.

Your data stays between you and your care team

Sensitive information is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, only the care team you connected to can see your record, and every access to it is logged on an immutable audit trail. We never sell patient data. You can disconnect or delete your account at any time — see our privacy policy.

For practitioners

Getting a patient onto the app.

From your workspace, open Patients → Add patient, enter their name and email, and send the invite. The email carries both a magic link and their 8-character code, so the patient can connect either way.

  • Send, resend, or rotate an invite from the dashboard
  • Assign the plan before they join — it's waiting on first launch
  • Share this page with patients who need a walkthrough

Questions

Good to know

Is the MealCircle app free for patients?
Yes. The patient app is free and has no in-app purchases. Your nutrition practice pays for MealCircle; you never do.
Is there an iPhone version of the MealCircle app?
Not yet. MealCircle for Android is available on Google Play today, and the iPhone version is in progress. Ask your dietitian to let you know when it lands.
Do I need an invite to use the MealCircle app?
Yes. MealCircle is a care app, not a standalone tracker — you connect to a real dietitian using the invite code they send you. You can create an account first, but plans and logging start once you are connected.
Where do I find my invite code?
It is in the invite email your dietitian sent you, shown as an 8-character code. If the email is gone or the code no longer works, ask them to resend the invite from their dashboard.
What if I signed up with a different email than my invite?
That is fine — the invite code is what connects you, not the address. Signing up with the invited address just saves a step and keeps your dietitian from wondering who joined.
Can I use MealCircle with more than one dietitian?
You are connected to one care team at a time. To move to a new practice, disconnect from the current one in Settings, then enter the new invite code.
Is my health data private?
Yes. Sensitive data is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, access is limited to you and the care team you connected to, and every access to your record is logged. MealCircle does not sell patient data.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can request deletion from within the app, or from the account deletion page. Deletion removes your account and the personal data attached to it.
